Why are you getting cheap for a <$20 (Fram equivalent available from ANY big-name chain auto parts store) or ~$35 from the Mazda dealer?
If you can't afford a replacement filter, you should not be owning this car.
NO, you cannot use any of the see-through / glass fuel filters, since almost all of them are NOT made for use with fuel injection - they are carb use ONLY.

I suggest you either do a lot more reading and research or GET RID OF THE CAR.
Most 15-year olds do not have the capability or responsibility to own and maintain these cars.
You sound like you don't have a very good grasp of basic auto mechanics, so you're in for a lot of frustration.

Check ur fuel pressure reg, if its the orginal one its pretty old now and may need replacing, if you have money for a aftermarket one get it or get a genuine Mazda one and yer always a good idea getting the injector clean, actually thinking about it now the S5 have the reg on the rail so maybe run a gauge on the fuel line to get a pressure reading, oh dont take RETed advice the wrong way we all wish we have a RX7 at 15 even though most of us didnt have a licence haha, but yer dont cheap on these cars otherwise they will come back and bite you in the *** three times harder.
