Red face I need oil leak experts on this please

I've got an oil leak on my 88' turbo II and I have no clue where it's coming from. It leaks about a 3 inch puddle ever time i get out and let the car sit for a while (after the motor is stopped). I thought it was the oil presure sender unit. I replaced it. It still leaks. The only other thing i can think of is it's leaking from the oil pan. Any other areas that are known to leak? It's coming from the right side of the motor in the back (the sparkplug side...if that helps).

thanks,
marshall

Check the oil filter pedistal. Two small O rings have a tendency to leak. Do a Search, there is a write up on replacing them. However, the leak must be huge to give you a thee inch puddle. Are you sure the oil filter is snug?

Completely degrease and clean the engine. It should be spotless (use Castrol Super Clean...amazing stuff). Now start the engine and while it is running look for your leak. Should be easy to find.

i tried that

you see, once it leaks, it drips down and hits the oil pan and leaks in the middle...I can never see where it's coming from, and I'm almost 100% sure it only leaks once the car is off.

It can't only leak when the car is off. Don't drive the car while you are trying to find the leak because it will spread it around.
