yea the rear caliper piston has to be turned in with a special tool, or try using some vice grips or big pliars to grab a hold of the piston and slowly turn it into the caliper. now is a good time to bleed your system

You can use needle noze pliars to turn the pistons, that's what I've used every time I've switched from my street pads to my track pads.

you can use either the tool or just some needle nose pliers....or if you have neither you can be ghetto like me and just use a open end wrench of the proper size!

BUT please remember to line up the grooves the way they were originally or the pads will sit slanted and all sort of **** can happen....(ask me how i know)...

how do you know?

btw what would be the best way to clean the calipers to prep them for painting??

i thought i would use just a wire brush to get off the rust, but i cant seem to get into all the nooks and crannies.

also, what do you guys think of my fc? (new topic) i just put a gp sports kit on it. check out my pics in my garage

engine degreeser, lots of rags, and I'd sand a little bit

that caliper paint is pretty hardcore though so I wouldn't worry about it to much

also about the sideways pads

the retard that owned the car before me did that

I hit rotor with a brake pad that was worn at a perfect 45 degree angle within a few weeks and it messed it up real bad had to get a new caliper because it wasn't supposed to depress like that

from experiance if the caliper will not expand back smoothly with out to much trouble it needs to be replaced since its been past its point of no return. and when u replace one u have to replace the other side also other wise your brakes will pull one way more then the other.
