i need help wit my 1988 convertible rx7
my window motor never worked on da passenger side and i grounded the motor to the chasis and a couple things started workin like the light on the doors the warning beep telling u that the key is still in the ignition i cant remember the rest but the window started going down by it self and now i cant bring it back up so i need help putting it back up if anyone can help pm me....

Check the switch first, they tend to be the weakest link. Pop it up out of the armrest carefully, turn it over and take out the screw in the center, separating the upper and lower halves. The flat little pieces of metal that rock back & forth to make contact (there are two of them, side by side) should be cleaned at this point, as they'll likely be carboned up a bit. Also make sure the metal "rockers" are not bent in such a way that they are closing the circuit and activating the motor.

oh yeah, just use a pencil eraser to clean the rockers & contacts and lube it up w/ a little electrolitic(sp?) grease. That will keep them clean longer, but you will eventually have to do this again. Good idea to hit the driver's side while you're at it. Hope this helps
