What I did was to take all the bolts of except the ones that are under the flange where either the coolant or oil lines bolt on. These you don't have enought room, so I unscrewed them untill they were pushing against the flange. Then I alternated between them 1/4 turn at a time and slowly pushed the turbine housing off the center. You have to be careful though, that you don't strip the bolts. If it seems stuck and doesn't want to turn, you'll have to get a hammer and give it some good old fashioned persuasion.

yeah ok so those 2 bolts underneath that flange are supposed to push up and take off the housing? So you just keep turning and it should come apart the right?

Right, but sometimes it gets stuck so if it won't turn, don't force it, you'll strip the bolt. Just tap it gently all the way around with a hammer.

Help!

Ok so i got it off using your meathod yearrgh, Thanks a lot. Only i have an important question. After taking the top housing off, the lower compressor wheel was exposed and i was examining it and turned the wheel a little and noticed that when i turned the compressor wheel it made a rasping sound, then i saw black chips fall out from in between the compressor wheel. There is a kind of black cap directly under the wheel that was also moving. Im a little concernerd here guys cuz i thought that when the compressor wheel moved it wasent supposed to have a noise at all. What do you guys think? Remeber i noticed this after removing the top assembly and while turing the exaust compressor wheel.
Guys thanks so much for the help so far.

same thing happened on my turbo when i took it apart. it only does it if that cover behind the exhaust turbine is moving, but when everything is all together the housing holds down that cover. I just cleaned it out real good though just in case. Hope that helps some.

Cool man thanks, hey what did you use to clean that crap out? Whats the best idea. I was thinking like compressed air would help but i think it would be better to use some form of cleaner.

Thats oil coked on there. The cap under the wheel will be loose. Can't give you any advice on cleaning though. I tried to get the wheels off and it was way too freaking difficult, so I was lazy.
