Ok... how do i put the new metal and rubber ring on the shifter without wrecking the silicone seal on the inside of the shifter by taking it apart? theres got to be something i can do.

I recieved all the brand new parts for the boot assembly... i just need a walk through and how to put everything back together....

 

Not sure... I just bought a Miata short shifter and replaced that too when I did mine. I did try to take the stock shifter apart but it wouldn't budge.
