Help: Windshield Washer Button Broken, Wipers Slow
Hello RX Fans,
I have to problems for someone to solve. I can't afford mechanics .
1)
I have a 1986 RX7 - (GXL) Series 4 FC - 13B VDEI engine.
Recently the washer fluid button stopped working. I need someones help in finding out what's wrong and how to fix it. WHen i press the fluid spray button...nothing happens. Washer fuild level is on full.
2)
Another problem is the the windshield wiper don't have that much power anymore...i have to put wiper speed all the way up to wipe the windshield. If it is on low...it gets stuck in the middle.
Thank you...patiently waiting...

Could that also be a worn wiper motor?

I meant which section of the board needs to be cleaned. I already replaced the bad relay and cleaned up the solder joints, but apparently it wasn't enough to fix this. Thats why I wanted to know an exact location.
Also, the slow wiper doesn't really sound like a switch problem to me. If its working at all then doesn't that mean the switch is functioning properly?

well i saw someone had been screwing with my switch in my TII and it looks like the top printed circuit strip near the relay failed on mine and the previous owner had soldered across the gap but i would ask Icemark, he deals with them daily where i haven't had one apart yet. but yes, the relay and printed circuit issues still do affect all operations of the switch including slow, intermittent, fast and washer operations but default fast speed usually still works for some reason where the other operations tend to fade out over time.
