i have a 88 base. if i try to make a left (only left) turn with my foot just a little on the gas, it will bog down, pick up, bog down, and continue to do this. if i pull over, and then start going straight, it will run, untill i make a left turn. if i just coast around the turn, it won do it,only if my foot is even the slightest on the gas. and some times it wont start.

You need to check/change the fuel pick-up "sock" in the tank and change the fuel filter. Sounds like you are having fuel pick-up problems
