Hey blake, nice to see ya on the forum. I'm sooooo happy with my street ported engine from Rob, not to mention his 6port sleeves. The port in my blue car is'nt as nearly as big as the one's in your pictures. But i have to agree the Pineapple 6ports sleeves realy do help. I'm also porting a extra middle intake. If you would like, i'll bring it to the next meeting to show you. I'll post some pics in a little while. CJ
Hey Cj,

Yeah, I finally decided to give the forum a try. I was just over at Rob's shop earlier today. Later this week, we're going to get started on upgrading his web site. I guess I'll see you there on the 10th, for the Tech day?

BTW, here are the before and after shots of the primary ports of the same 6-port engine:

If you put the first two pictures side by side...you can get a rought idea of how much material i've removed.

About that peripheral engine......i think i use to own that one!

The primarys look about the same....but its hard to tell, as i don't have any pictures of mine

Um...Yeah We were anxious to get the project rolling, so we dropped that engine in for the time being. Fortunately, we got the carb from you too, so it was properly jetted and everything. Started up on the first try The swap, from running (on one rotor) 12A to running Peripheral Port 13B, took only 12 hours, including fabrication of the exhaust and throttle linkage. Anyway, we'll probably make another PP engine when we find the time....

Before you guys go out and realy get on it realy hard, (10k rpms) i'd install a 3/0 needle and seat. The one that was in there was only a 2/0.

Have you guys put any miles on it or anything? Or just idle time?

Thanks for pointing that out. I think Rob mentioned that too. Anyway, we just got it running so we wouldn't have to tow it home. The headers are bolted right on to the stock cat back for the time being and the fuel system needs an overhaul before we go out and flog the car Ari Yallon (RX7.com) is sending me some spare exhaust stuff to try out, and the fuel cell and new pump are ready to go in. Unfortunately, Dom backed out of the project due to time constraints. Now it looks like I'm teaming up with Paul, at least in the sense that he will contribute labor and a place to store the car. Lots to do, but at least the damn thing runs!

What is the easiest way to make a rebuilt (New apex seals and used housings in mint condition) 13B with auto tranny to start? I have killed two batteries and i DO NOT want to use ATF.

Make sure you have a spark first..

Prime the fuel system .. by jumping the primer connector jumper thing.- Green connector near intake manifold... on passenger side- check the manual.

Make sure it's not flooded.... and that the plugs are nice and dry.

Last resort- A can of starter assist- spray it into the MAF directly.

If it doesn't start- something is wrong.
I'm assuming you have compression!

If you started a new thread about this- it might get more views.. this 6 port one is an OLD thread!

I can vouch for this- I rode in the first car. :P
