I just put a s5 radiator on my s4

Just wondering, I now have two radiatior caps to take care of haha, one on the radiator and the oem one on the thermostat housing I heard this is better because now i can burp the system properly. Is this true? I have never heard of this before. But my radiator before had a leak and this was a cheap replacement until i can afford a koyo or fluidlyne. Just want to make sure i didnt make things worse for my cooling system. there was a small leak under the radiator cap holder (the plastic part that you screw the cap into on the radiator) and i put some gasket maker under it to seal it up. Ive been having overheating issues due to many leaks in the system and almost have them all figured out the radiator i believe was last culprit. 86 gxl na

the 2 caps should be fine as long as they are both good. as far as burping it goes the higher the location to burp the system the better, hence you will burp it from the cap on top of the thermostat.

yeah, I was messing with it today i took both caps off filled up til fluid came out the cap hole on the radiator and closed that one up then took the side screw out filled up til fluid came out there and then filled up to the thermostat then twisted that cap back on then squeezed the hoses opened up thermostat rad cap then filled again, and squeezed hoses again and everything seemed nice and full.
