10psi or 10in of vacuum? Most boost gauges read boost and vacuum. Does the car idle rough?

10psi while idling doesn't make since since the turbos are not spooling. Where is your boost gauge hocked up? Also with the high idle, it would appear that you have a boost leak. Is the engine difficult to start?

Can't be 10psi anyway unless he's heavily modded... Stock is around 6 psi I think on an s4 (I'm s5) and his fuel cut would kick in around there, way less than 10psi.

I'd assume his gauge is hooked up wrong, and he should search for the proper nipple to hook to.

My guess is he's reading vacuum which is almost normal (I'M around -20 at idle) but who knows. Also is it an innaccurate autometer gauge or is he trying to read the stock gauge as psi (mmhg?)?

Need more input says johnny 5

if the car is idling at 1.5k RPMS then 10 mmhg vacuum is about right. 10 psi at idle is impossible unless you have a rally car. try and locate the vacuum leak by spraying carb cleaner on your vacuum hoses, and injector area, if the idle goes down you found your leak.

if you have no cats then the pop is normal, just extra fuel exploding, (NOT the apex seal) or it could even be a bad throttle position sensor making the car run rich.
