I have a fuel pump cut-off switch, what for?
Got an 89 TII a couple months back. It had a fuel pump cut-off switch installed already and I didn't really ask the seller why. Anyways the car has no flood issues whatsoever, and it has a rebuilt motor in it from 25K ago (so the seller claims he had no paper to back it up). Anyone have any ideas why the car has one?
Thanks for any help.

in case he went to start the car and it did not start right away, sometimes this happens especially if you start the car, move it, and shut it off before it warmed up.
I sold 2 FCs and installed such a switch for the new owners because it was thier first FC and I did not want them getting stuck or flooding somewhere

Deflooding on a series five can be done by just HOLDING the pedal to the floor.
The ECU cuts off the fuel injectors when it sees the tps fully depressed and the START signal at the ECU. That works on the series five only.
