i have a 1 of 1 carbon fiber hood.... check it out

hey everyone! i just wanted to show you all my new hood....... at the moment it is the ONLY one in existence........ i have a 1 of 1 hood........ i got sponsored my gtp motorsports (a.k.a importfan.com).... and pretty much gave me this hood as long as i make an effort to show it to everyone........ they will make this hood to order.... no mass producing

its full carbon fiber..... (i think its a repro of the old r.e. amimeya hood... but not sure).... the main difference is the back of the hood has a flare which is vented (so no more ugly hood spacers...woohoo)..... i also got the carbon fiber cooling panel...... gorgeous.... you can see your reflection in it...... its polished very nicely!

tell me what you think.

What happens when it rains and all of that water gets dumped onto your alternator?

Wholly crap finnaly!!! Thats exactly what Ive been looking for. Its not an Amemiya hood, its a replica of the Knightsport hood which I really wanted, but didnt want to drop $1,250. I am pretty sure I will be getting one of these.

the FD guys with the Scoot hood usually tape cardboard on the bottom under the vents. or plastic bags.

????

Probably the same thing as when he washes his engine bay.

The hood looks awesome. I am looking at a way to vent my engine bay as well. I have entered a group buy on the other forum for a RE reverse vent. I will also add a vent above the turbo to help keep temps down.

Actually, most of the hoods come with rain blockers built to fit exactly inside the vents.

Doesn't seem practical as a daily driven car to me. I'm sure it's great for track/show/garage etc...

lol...yup.... thats the one........ they mostly hate the graghics..... but they are coming off soon...... i just purchased the gp sport g-four kit (its a knock off, but looks exactly the same).... when it arrives in february im repainting the car(orange of coarse). the wheels will be gunmetal and there is gonna be a very subtle blue and black( vinyl that resembles carbon fiber) stripe going down the side of it.... thats it..... no crazy vinyl car anymore.... im sure that will make alot of people happy. lol (like i care )

p.s...... thanx for the support!

vipers what u should do is paint it wrx blue.. and get some bronze wheels with a big *** deep dish style rim, i think that would set the carbon fiber setup off! thats what i would do if i had ur car...

uuuummmmm......... well.......... uuummm...... sortof...... the hood covers the top mount, and i did notice a decreace in power.... also my car runs a smidge hotter than before..... but i do have a front mount on the car right now, waiting for the mandrel bent piping... so again.... not a big issue for me.

um. isn't that the reason it is the middle vent is offset? or is it offset in the opposite direction.

the hood is a little flashy for my liking...i want a panspeed vented look-alike.

These are MEANT for someone running a FMIC or maybe even an NA. The whole point is for heat to be allowed to escape from the engine bay as opposed to letting cool air in to hit the TMIC. I dont think it would be the best idea to put this over a TMIC and cut of the cool air coming in.

But hey, it looks fantastic either way!!!
