to start things off i own a 1990 rx7 supercharged and live in michigan where the weather is ridiculously cold. well any way i went to get a car wash yesterday, and then went straight to work. when it was time to clock out i hopped into my car and started it. but it started up funny and started to bog alot. i got the car home amazingly. so i started working on it this morning to find out what the situation was cuz i thought i blew my seals. i spent hours doing research and did compression tests, and all was fine. well i was confused, then i realized i had an custom cold air intake. sure enough it was my mass air flow that was frozen from the car wash, lol.

 

Can you post pics of your engine bay with the supercharger? Im just curious to see what it looks like. Glad to hear your problem wasn't something more serious

 

I wouldn't think the air filter would let that much water in...

what kind of filter do you have?

 

yea i can post some pics, but eage8 i thought the same. it wasnt alot water, just enough to freeze the maf.

 

Were you the guy that bought the Supercharger from an older gentleman with a red S5?

 

 

no i bought a parts car that had the motor in it, just swapped it
