That's RX-8 Blue I think

BTW - all you need to powder coat is a cheap used 2nd oven, small air compressor, and a $75 powder coating gun/electrode static charger.

They sell "high temp" masking tape to cover what shoudln't be coated. With aluminum you just bake it cooler for longer times, but it's quick & easy.

That's groovey. I really dig that color.

What a pita though when installing to have to be super-careful not to scratch them all up.

I agree on both counts!

And I really don't like the Winning Silver paint on my car, that color is nice sometimes, but others it looks like turd brown. THE WORST SHADE OF SILVER I HAVE EVER SEEN IMHO!!!

Powder Coating's MUCH stronger than regular paint, and unlike polishing it stays pretty clean. Even if you want the OEM low gloss "clean engine bay" look, you can use a clear no-gloss powder coat to keep the metal from getting dirty & prevent scratches.

They even have high-temp stuff now that works on everthing except the exhaust & turbo manifolds (JetBlack's the only thing that can take that kind of heat).

Looks awesome. $212 for all of that? Good deal. My brother's trying to get his ugly faded wheels powdercoated black, but he can't find anyone who will do it for less than $500. Kind of a ripoff IMO.
