I drove an FC for the first time today!

well as the title states, I drove an FC today. Im trying to get the guy to sell it. Im tryin to get him to give it to me for 900. It was one hell of a ride. It was an 86 n/a 5 spd. the car ran fine, a lil smoke on startup, but no coolant smell. It started up after like 3 seconds of cranking, idled at about 850 and stayed there. The odometer is broken, but it has about 100000 miles on it. New clutch, exhaust. It was aewsome im so excited about it! i just had to share, im officially addicted to the FC!

Your screen name and profile both say FD. What's the story? And if the odometer is broke how can you tell how many miles are on it. Do you think the odometer broke just as the guy parked it for the last time? Either way, welcome to the loving FC family. hehehe

A running FC for $900 sounds like a good deal to me!

Well, the story goes like this. I have my FD, becuase my friend has a 3000gt, and I wanted an RX-7, because i like them better than Supras and VR4s, which is what he has. My FD was the only RX-7 I could find when i purchased mine some months ago. I couldnt find an FC or FB at the time, and I wanted the FD, so I got that instead. I wanted to start out with an FC because its a lot cheaper, but I couldnt find one and was planning to get an FD anyway. About the odometer, the person who had it got it from his brother, who parked it on the side of his house for about 2 months. When the odometer broke, the guy wrote it down, and kept track of the miles through the trip counter, and put it in the glove box with the owners manual, and all the maintance receipts. Up until today, Ive never driven an FC. All I've driven was my FD. It was completely different. The FD is more refined and luxorious, and the ride is different and things like that. The FC is just crude, unrefined driving pleasure. Definitly different from an FD. But I definitly need this car! LOL! I'm happy to be a part of the FC family! This forum is invaluable for knowledge, and there are alot of people who definitly know their FCs. I'm happy to be a part of it.

the FB is more of a sports car than either the FC or FD. they are simpler, lighter, and more fun to drive. get one! or a running $900 FC is a good deal too!

Sell the fd, buy a turbo ii and dump the rest of the money into it. I promise you, you will love it 100x more than the NA or FD
