Uh, full tank of gasoline? ~6 pounds per gallon, 16 gallons... 96 pounds

The A/C and PS only account for about 60 pounds anyway (minus the rack itself).

TIIs are way beefier than NAs, too.

i think its supposed to weight 2850. the bracket that holds the ac and ps in is made of alluminum. With a good amount of fuel in your tank, and just ps and ac remove, that sounds about right. There is a thread for weight of differnt parts in this forum

What does "gutted" mean?
A good "roll cage" easily adds 100 to 200 lbs.
6-point roll cages can easily add 500 lbs. if it's not chrome moly.
I don't see anything wrong with the given weight.
Stop blaming the weigh station.

Yea, that's not too bad. Maybe you've got a steel hood? That's 20lbs extra there. Do you have bigger than stock wheels and tires? That adds weight. How about bigger brakes, that can add weight too.

My FC with a ~47lb/ea wheel and tire setup, full RB exhaust, no AC, no PS, with a roll bar (4 point, not cage), full interior with spare, jack, junk, etc weighed 2850 on some Longacre corner scales. Don't remember how much gas, maybe 1/2-1/4 tank.

500 pounds seems like a drastic overstatement... unless you're talking about a 10-point cages with way more door bars and crossmembers than any FC would probably ever need.

Or maybe if the tubing is full of concrete...

gutted is stripped interior(carpet/insulation/door panels/unnessesary accsessories) maybe stripped is more commonly used. my 88t2 weighed in 2850 with all emmisions removed/whole ac(compressor/radiater/hard lines/core). damn 12in subswith the custom box and amp in the back puts back 80lbs.

i did weigh it with the 17 inch rims on it but they weigh about the same as the stock wheels as they are the mesh bbs style wheels...by gutted i mean it has no interior what so ever just the dash.. my cage is an 8 point cage from jegs and it only weighs about 150lbs.. i also removed the stock headlights and motors and have a custom set that is really light
