mileage on motor?
turbo or n/a?
How much oil did you put in your car?

it is possible you changed the oil and out came some gunk that was holding your seals together.. who knows could be lots of things.

btw did you use any cleaners before u did this?

So it's smoking out the tailpipes? You prob just had some oil spill on to the motor and it's just burning off.

I have had some problems with my car smoking heavily after a start up and not stopping. This is not the typical smoke from a start-up after sitting. The smoke will be very heavy and smoke up the entire neighborhood. I figured it was a stuck seal or something with the oil injection. It has only happend a couple times and it has not happened in a while. The first time it started smoking like this was when I topped the oil off. It smoked for about 5-10 minutes, I turned it off and tightened the alternator belt and it was gone. It has happened several times after that and I can't think of any reason why it starts or stops. I don't really understand it but it has not happened in a while. I have a 1991 NA with 117,000 miles with bad oil control rings that smoke at high revs with the throttle closed (up shifts from red line and autocrossing).

Check your oil pressure, my 7 would always smoke like its seals were going bad, we put a different oil in (I can't remember what weight) if you want me to ask my dad Iwill later.

Amazingly the oil pressure went up to normal levels and it only smokes alil blue past 5k rpm which if i recall is when the oil injectors activate or add more oil...

check the connector to the sender.might have fallen off or clean the contacts.it's close to the oil pedestal on the driver side.

don't bother posting if you are going to be an ***

to me it sounds like your turbo or turbo seals could be going. if you changed the weight of your motor oil to something thinner it may be burning a bit easier than your old oil was.
