Talking I cant stand the smell

I have a Racing Beat turbo back in my 87TII and i cant stand the exaust fume going inside the car. When ever i drive it i have to roll down both windows and the sunroof but after i get off the car and smell my shirt it stinks like hell (exaust fumes). My car is running a bit rich so i guess that explains it.

Anyone have the same problem when driving their FCs? My wife actually got a headache after i drove her for an hour. She said she wont ride with me anymore in my FC. =(..

I think ViperKiller's right. You should check for leaks. The only time you should smell exhaust is if you are sitting still and wind is blowing toward the front of the car. I had a similar problem when one of my gaskets was leaking. Now I only smell exhaust when I pull into the garage too far and keep the car running.

Check the gasket between the downpipe/precat and main cat. I had that one fail and the exhaust came through the shift boot.

He should check his shift boot while he's at it. If it's intact, he's got a hole elsewhere in the body...

maybe you removed the cat in doing this? that will cause alot of that smell to get to you as well...i have the same situation...eventually your interior will always have that lingering smell..as well as you and your clothes..just part of the rx7..vacuum it out alot and use some scent removing stuff too..hope its just a leak that you can fix though..
