I broked my fuel diffuser ( air bleed ) ( PLEASE HELP )

hello while going premix i fucked up and screw in 2 bolts wher ethe fuel injectors are in teh botttom intake manifold. I was able to take them out but not after i had tried to turn the engine on. I tried starting teh car for like 10 min.. when i started to smeel fuel.. i looked down and i saw fuel ldripping out.I took everythign apart again and took the 2 bolts ( with black rtv sealant ) off. on ewas so hard to take out taht the fuel diffuser got stuck to it and you could see a crack on it all across it. nothign fell into the housing. the otehr diffuser seemed ok. ANyways, i reput teh injectors one with teh difusser an done with out teh difusser. i tried to start the car and nothing. I called ATKINS ROTARY and they said that without the diffuser ( air bleeds ) the car wouldn't start and if itdid it might make tehinjector bounc eout the lines an dcaus ean engine fire... is this true? Do ALL 13B's NEED THE FUEL DIFFUSER TO START??? and will it cause an engine fire? if so how? ( wouldn't teh rails hold teh injector together )???it seemed liek it did, even thoughi admit feeling one injector alil higher thna the otehr one due to teh diffuser beeing down teh hole ...

You need the bleeds and the diffusers. They are expensive as hell. And the odds of you extracting those from a junk car are about zero.

I broke them after they were in a car for only 2 months.

If you can get em cheap thats cool. But it is a raping from the dealer.

I would recommend www.mazdaformance.com if you are going to get them.

They also have parts diagrams avaiable for download.

Also, how do you mean the "two bolts" had RTV on them? Are those the two bolts that hold down the primary rail?

I too would like to know the answer to this, since i managed to break 3 of the four, so i have none right now. Could be contributing to my problem that im having.

Yes.. I've heard that the car will not start without "teh" injectors bleeds in place. The fuel just sortof dribbles out of the primaries at idle.

They are hard to get at too.. so junkyards are sortof out of the question unless thay have dissasembled rotary engines.. but since youare getting the from Atkins, then you're all fine...
Ss what's the question now anyways? Sounds like everything is fixed.
Man... reading your posts has has made my eyes bleed......

The reason they said that it could cause your car not to start is because without those air bleeds in, the injector has nothing to set on, or at least nothing for that extra half inch or whatever. So the fuel pressure could, concievably, push the injector out of the rail, and cause a leak and therefore a fire.
