I bought this car from this guy, car seems to be in pretty good shape, but he said that the NAWS isn't working, like he connected it to the BAC valve and it doesnt produce power. I see a steel braided hose going to a round green cylinder on the side of the intake manifold, the car runs fine, is the NAWS necessary?

Im going to take a guess and say he has a nitrous system installed. One of the most popular makers of nitrous kits is NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems). Some people just say NOS. If you follow that steel braided line into the car, does it go to a bottle somewhere? Dont mess with it if you dont know what you are doing. Take it to a speed shop and have them explain everything to you, and also to make sure it is hooked up correctly.

This sounds like a sick joke.

Regardless, a nitrous system tapped into the side of the BAC won't work... the BAC probably won't either.

Maybe he means just AWS?

Could mean the AWS, sits near the BAC.
If that's the case not a reason to not buy the car.
