Thanks for your order (just in the nick of time =)

I have faxed your order to fiber images, and it is being processed. It usually
takes about a week or so to make, then they ship them.

Thanks again =)
fc3s.org.

Was 550 plus shipping but the deal expired yesterday. Now it's 650 plus shipping.

Yeah Dave Gibson & his possy do good work. I've got one of his first batch hoods & it's great.

The newer ones are even better.

Note they do offer colors now for a bit more, so you can get a matching hood for most primary colors except white I believe.

me car == Black so I didn't need colored CF/kevlar.

That's one reason why I'm not painting it.

I get "teh C0oL" look of CF and no painting cost!

If I had a blue or red FC i would have gone with the carbon kevlar option.

those were the old ones.

The Fiber image one is suppose to be really good and almost OEM style for this stuff.

just cause it has latches doesnt mean it wont fly off. hoodpins are always recommended for fiberglass and cf hoods.

I saw somethign like this the opther day. Some dude in a civic took off into a intersection, and his new vented black fiberglass hood flew off his car and broke of the mounts. Landed right in the middle of ther intersection and a truck rean it over. The guy got out of his car and startedscreaming profanities. It was so satisfying. Any of you ever seen this?

I have been using a older fc3s.org CF hood on my n/a for a while and never had any problems witht he hood fyling up, if you use the right latch (the alum. one) you will have no problems.

My buddy had a hood fly up on his eclipse.

Then again the hood were replicas from some knock off crap company.

Like I said, I'll take pics for you guys so you can see it.

the pins are anything but ricey.... If your gonna spend $500 on a custom hood for your ride, spend the extra few bucks and put in the pins. I have seen stock hoods fly up on fc's and they weigh twice as much as fiberglass or carbonfiber. My stock hood rocks when wind gets underneath it as it is. I am putting on a fiberglass hood from dztreen within the next couple weeks, you had better believe its getting pins.... ITS NOT RICE, ITS JUST SMART...

Well out of all the FC's I've seen I've never had one hood come up or even float.

I've even driven around with it slightly latched and kind of bolted on and it didn't flinch(was under 50mph though)

I would check your latch itself. It's probably bad.

I should be getting the hood this week and I doubt it will need hood pins.
I'll inspect the latch mounting on the hood to see if it is safe or not.
