mine on my fc never shook, but on my fb it does, but thats because its front hinged and has the hood latch in the center of the back so nothing to hold it down on the corners.

First, you sould be suprised how objects can behave when 10's of thousands of pounds of inertia are applied to them. A stick can be driven through a tree in a tornado. You don't think a CF hood can go through glass? Second, you do know that alot of aftermarket items do not adhere to the laws, don't you? Theres a law stating you must have a catalytic convertor. RB sells a replacement pipe that removes it, as well as several other companies. K2RD sells (or used to sell) blockoff plates for all the emissions equipment. Alot of the seats sold are not approved as "safe" in crash testing. All the manufacturer has to do is state that its for race use only, or put some disclaimer on the product. The original parts on a car need to adhere to the laws. Any parts added later are up to the manufacturer.

Well I called FC3S. THey are shipping my hood out tomorrow.
To back up th whole cut your head off thing.
That is more prone to happen if you have done the lifted back vent hood mod(you know what I'm talking about). Since it now raises the back end of the hood lifting it our of it's crumple.slide zone.
I barely remeber a thread about a guy which actually flipped his FC and has a CF hood I think. I think he said the hood bowed and was a factor in him not having a roadrash haircut.
CF will bow instead of crush. It takes a lot of force to crack it. The Fiber Image guys even have vids of them driving over the hoods and they are fine.

I got my hood today and its perfect. There are no flaws in the hood and no fitment issues. I was amazed at how well the hood was packed. Looks great on my car and should have pics soon. Oh by the way this hood is REALLY light.

Here they are. Initial pics until I can snap daytime pics buit it looks good.
A little scary since it has a 75+mph float in it but it doesn't seem like it will let loose any time soon.

It looks pretty good on the car. Form certain angles it matches the paint so you can't tell it's CF until it's too late

My hood almost went into my car when i crashed. It is VERY possible to get your head stuck in a CF or FG hood if it doesn't crumple like its supposed to. My hood only made it a few inches into my cabin but it could have been worse.

I'll try and snap some tomorrow before I go to work.
I'm debating if I shoudl go hood pin on it.
The hood lifts a bit over 75pmh. It doesn't seem like it will actually go anywhere since the hood latch has the fron secure but it's a little scary seeing it wobble at those speeds.
Especially when I just spent $700 on it.
Any one care to recommend a certain hood pin? Checker had some rice boy ones with a key lock in it to prevent dicks from pulling them out. Not sure of the quality.

Anyone notice the Dillards sign is backwards
heheI like how the CF can blend right into the black paint job from one angle and then show up at another
Must admit, that hood looks sweet on a black car. Can't even tell it's there in some pics. I like it. Almost makes me wish that I had the money to go and make my ram air intake that I have been thinking about with using a CF T2 hood. Looks damn nice, though.
