i know this is really stupid, but this is the blow off valve right?

Yep, that's the factory blow-off valve, or Compressor Bypass Valve (CBV) as Mazda calls it.

if thats stock? then yes i believe so. since the stock turbos have internal wastegates. so it cant be that

ok, i thought thats what it was.....just making sure. i just got the car so i am learning a lot. its quite a bit different than my first gen.
