cool design, but I wonder about build up in the springs over time.
I sure like that it is centered though... too bad they were not available when I was rebuilding the Jspec for use in my car.

cool idea. I wonder, too, how the springs would hold up with carbon build-up. Would these work better with running premix instead of the MOP?
Is that price of $120 for a set of 3 or each?

I'd imagine the Hurley design would be more prone to cracking (similar to the mazda "solid" seals) due to the thinnest section being significantly thicker.
I too was unaware that there was any problem with the "traditional" Mazda corner seals...

hurley cnr seals would allow probably another 1mm to be taken out of the back of the port on a street port, however, on a bridgey, bridge would have to be closer to the outside meaning a thinner eyebrow would have to be used. if you are wondering how i come to those conclusions, its because the black rubber piece which goes in the middle of the cnr seal is normally what you use for the back edge and bridge thickness

We don't use rubber inserts on factory corner seals at all on our drag RX-7. They don't do a thing we just leave the hole blank... Anyways we do not use bridge ports. And no our engine is not taken apart after every event our current engine has over fifty (50) 8 second runs and still going hard. The part that pisses everybody off is that we use 3 piece Mazda factory apex seals when everyone else is using Iannettis... Methanol/Turbo rules!!!

They are new so I don't know. Anarchy has a very good point here it looks like there is less surface touching the seal Hmmmm... I'll e-mail them with this question...

The part that pisses me off is that my car gives me more pains than the drag car. Give me a haltech a good engine and some $$$ I can make it run. Give me factory ecu and I'm f_u_c_k_e_d...

They do make "solid" corner seals that have no rubber insert.  The rubber insert increases sealing.  If you don't put this rubber plug back in, you very little support of the apex seal at the ends - usually where a lot of stress happens.
The Hurley corner seal looks like it makes the design stronger by leaving a thicker "bottom", as I've seen corner seals crack at this thinnest part.

i was at the local rotary shop the other day and they took a factory mazda corner seal and broke it with the index finger and thumb.
Then i took a pair of pliers and couldnt break the hurley corner seals and i was squeezing pretty damn hard.
