HUH? mitsubishi symbol on my TPS?

hey i just bought my first rx7 a few months ago, and it wasnt running at the time... well i got it running kinda... and now its got NO power and doesnt idle (or when i coaxe it into idleing it hops from 1000 to 1500 rpm. any ways i figure vaccume leak and thats where im at. i was looking at my TPS today, just for good measure, and what the hell? there is a friggin mitsubishi symbol on it! is this normal? i tested the throttle and the tps doesnt come all the way out when the throttle is floored. is this a stock tps? or did the former owner just put a mitsu tps on there? any suggestions on what to do about the vaccume hose problem? thanks
drifter

hmm well i dunno if they have gray silicone lines, but i guess i could just replace them as i take them off as to not lose where they go... where is the so called "rats nest" located? i can see alot of random vaccum lines all over the place but the name seems to indicate that there are alot in one place...

The TPS, alternator and probably many other electronic components in these and other Japanese cars are made by Mitsubishi Electric, one of the largest electronics manufacturers in the world.
Mistubishi Motors is a completely seperate company, although they're both owned by the same parent company. DSM is seperate again; I believe it's an American-owned subsidiary of Mistubishi Motors.

The mitsu that makes electronics is a different company than mitsu cars. They were origonally the same company, but were spunoff as a seperate company.

After the second world war, under the occupation of the US, Mitsubishi Congolmerate was odered to separate. The three companies formed were Mitsui, Mitsubishi, and Sumitomo were the major companies formed. The mitsubishi that manufactures things from microwaves, heavy machinery and cars, and even banks are still the same company just not the same divisions.

The rats nest is usually located under and around your dynamic chamber. If you remove your upper intake you'll be able to see all of it.Just tag and mark all lines so you would be able to put back together right.

Good Luck

BTW: Sumitomo Bank is the 2nd largest share holder of Mazda, with about 22% last I checked.

and you would be lucky if you got 120K on the old Ford built 4 bangers.

That is why Mazda is building the vast majority of Ford's 4 cyl engines for America and Europe.
