Electrical problem!
ok guys here's the porblem...
i originally throught it was the cd play but installed a new one and same effect.
engine off: cd player functions normally, turn it too loud and it'll cut out (turn off/ on)
engine on: depending on how much load there is on the battery cd player will either stay off or keep switching on/off
After drving awhile everything will return to normal, except when a big beat hits, the cd player will cut out.
Also i just remembered, i don't know if it's related but, upon starting the car cold, if you press too lightly on the accelerator the engine will stall. Even in nuetral. Sometimes car will stall when lights are truned on.
Also i'm running Microtech, so i have no cold air idle.

First recheck all your grounds. That could cause both symptoms.
Next tap the power wire to the head unit & put a voltmeter on it. That will tell you if the voltage is taking a dive. That will also tell if your rewire or load cap is helping.

No, they came with mitsubishi or pioneer speakers standard.
A blown speaker would short out everytime the volumn was up high enough to rub the voice coil. It will usually sound scratchy first before it goes, but checking with a digital multi-meter you'll find the resistance of the voice coil to be under 2.5 ohms.
