Huge frikkin' water leak in the interior!!

I turned on my car today (the carpet and sound deadening crap is removed) and a deluge of water spurted down from over the pass side heat shield onto the floor pan. What the hell would cause this?

probably need more info. Could be anywhere from heater core to evap drain, or weatherstriping.

Check the heater line where it connects to the firewall on the pass side inside the engine bay. tighten it up with a good clamp and lift the pass carpet to dry up the mess. Could also be a leaky heater core, but my money is the the heater/coolant hose that goes to the heater core.

OK, I couldn't tell where it was coming from. The only thing I could think of was that the AC was removed and the lines from the engine bay weren't capped off, so I thought maybe the water could've collected in there and then got sucked through. But I put my finger around the rim of the lines and they didn't appear to be wet.

If it only happens with the car running I would guess the heater core or the connections to it.

Well as soon as I started it water literally shot out from under the dash area. Althoug I have gotten in the car some days after it rained and found puddles formed there.

heater core, disconnect the heater lines and run a long loop line untill you get it fixed. do NOT use the hose cap end things fromt eh autopart store, they dont last at all and will cost you a motor when all the coolent drains out of the block,.. trust me.

I was gonna say if you have a moon roof the drainage tubes are known to leak or come out of the wole where they drain to the exterior.

Possible, I'm removing my headliner this weekend so I'll be able to check it.
