Hub stuck. Any suggestions?
The hub is stuck. It was driven about 1/2 a mile making a slight grinding sound. Pulled off everything, and looking at the hub, I can see that about 2 of the rollers on the outer bearing are gone. Lots of metal shavings too. Guessing from the bearings.
Now, the left side of the car, once the nut was removed, the hub just slid right off. No problems on that end. But, the right side of the car, the hub seems stuck on there. No movement in or out of car.
My idea, but don't have a form of transportation yet. I am going to get a puller of some type that has a screw thing in the center, and will attach to the hub. Then I can slowly screw the center in and it should pull the hub apart from the spindle? I don't know what the correct term for that center shaft is.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

That center shaft is the spindle and if the hub won't come off then it may need to be replaced as well. When you do get the hub off make sure you check the spindle for scoring or other damage. You wouldn't want to put new bearings on there just to have them get chewed up again.

Advise.
With a good strong torque impact gun. over tighten the bolt on the hub that won't come off to break the corrosion that has otherwise welded it inside the spline. Then with perhaps a couple raps with a hand sledge it should slide out just like the other one did.
