Hey affinitee,
I'm in cali. The best thing you can do is put intake and cat-back for your car. If you really want to go abit more, put a hi-flo RP cat and maybe a DP (I said maybe becuz you will not pass a scrutinize visual inspection, but most shop do not check that close or know what is suppose to be on a rotary). That's just for starters. You "may" run into fuel cut (depending your model year) so maybe at least a FCD.

But before that, you should add at least a boost guage and A/F meter to monitor things. Then comes the fuel management. hope this helps.

But if you want more power, figure how much you want and build your car to that level instead of just bolting things on w/o a goal.

Actually, I run a straight pipe now (but air pump is still on the car)and when its time for smog, i just reinstall the original cat. it's not that loud w/ a straight pipe.

Jay

As my 10th sits now:
-K&N Intake
-Magnecor Wires
-3" Es Design Downpipe
-Dynomax High Flo Cat
-Tokico Shocks
-Eibach Pro Springs

My 10th is currently down because of a broken Oil metering line, I figure since the car is down:
1. Engine rebuild
2. Trans rebuild
3. Ecu Upgrade (Haltech)
4. Coolant System (K2rd Alum and Black Magic Fan)
5. Turbo Upgrade (T04)
6. Intercooler Upgrade (????)
7. Master Cylinder (out of 944 if I read the old post correctly)
8. Brake Upgrade (k2rd)
9. Rims and Tires

If anyone can offer helpful info on these upgrades pm me or reply... Thanks AFFiNiTEE

Hey im in LA!..i see you live in HB??well if you want more HP and planning on rebuilding the motor well then you might want to consider MIILD PORTING the motor. Some people say that it passes smog (barely) as long as you have all the emmsion equipments on and 100% functioning when smogging the car. My 7 is getting a new ported motor soon (i hope) and engine management in the future. It wont be smog legal but i will try to find my way to make it pass yknow what i mean??...AE Turbo from this forum had an HKS super mega flow and still pass smog. How much HP are you looking to gain?..Because if you are looking for crazy HP then you have to remove all the emmision stuffs then install big exaust and other off road only parts.

Well, I am in Northern Cal, so we only do emissions when selling/buying a car. I am taking advantage of this while it lasts. Mabye you should register your car elsewhere and have fun??

You are going to have the time of your life trying to pass smog with a Haltech. That is going to be very hard to hide from the visual.

Same with a T04. You will need to downtune the car alot to make a T04 run through the numbers.

From what you guys are telling me, It's best not to do Highly visible mods????
So the best bet is doing the non-visible mods:
1. Flywheel
2. Clutch
3. Mild Port
4. Throttle Body (K2RD)
5. 3mm Apex Seals (What is best in this setup???)
6. Re-mapped stock Ecu ????
7. Fuel Mangement Sysytem (Apexi)
8. Injectors (would I be able to Get bigger Secondaries with Apex Controller??? And What cc is best????)
9. Stock V-trim Turbo (K2RD)
10. BOV (Would Have to fabricate TID)
11. Wastegate
12. Wastegate Controller

Stock HP on 10th is 189 +/- 13 ponies.
Hope Combo creates 250-300....
I believe this combo would be relatively smog friendly too....
I would be able to dial down the system to pass smog with Fuel controller and then leave in a cloud of SMOKE!!!!
