hows my 7 running?
so awhile ago I took the 7 to get inspected and failed
so heres the results
Gas readings:
HC: 640
CO: 0.16
CO2: 13.3
O2: 3.1
I was assuming it was the cat or its running rich cause the exhaust burns my eyes during start up. Let me know what you guys think, wanna know how to fix it properly. Thanks in advance....

1/4-1/8th tank of gas, put two bottles of Isoheet in the tank, connect the airpump to the split air pipe, drive directly to testing station, Win, drive directly to the gas station and fill up/disconnect airpump from the split air pipe.
[Unless they have a visual inspection... Then I donno]
If you're only putting out 640HC the cat probably isn't bad, or at least not very bad. My stock S4NA put out something ridiculous like 1700HC with a totally bad cat [the cat had been super heated and had oil run through it]

Check the fsm on how to test your emissions system. After your properly test everything and it is up to snuff hen replace your cat. I had nearly the same readings as you (after a couple months of fixing things and re-test after re-test) and I still didnt pass when doing the "cheeting" method. Replaced the Cat and I passed with flying colors on a full tank of regular gas.
Also check that your exhaust isnt leaking and your gaskets for the cat are good. If the exhaust is leaking without being sent through the cat that could cause high readings as well. My advice though, Just replace the cat after testing the emissions sytem. Do it the right way and you wont have any issues passing. Took me 3 months to learn this info Im giving you. I spent 5x more money getting the car tested over and over trying to cheat and pass as I would have just fixing the things needed fixed, all because I didnt wanna spend the 180 on a new cat convertor. But then again I live in CA and know nothing about nj emissions standards. :-/
Good luck
