ps, ac, a clean but aftermarket cruise control which is now gone. Other than that it is pretty straight.

only things that dont work now is the rear wiper and the antenna. and the stock alarm works, but randomly goes off for no reason when it chooses to

 

Everything that came with the 1990 turbo. Tape and CD player + tuner stereo system (still works perfectly!). Bra. Oh, and the non leather interior.

Now AFAIK, everything still works (knock on wood) except cruise (waiting for new computer), can set alarm sometimes, and something is wrong with the ABS. It's hard to tell if the DTSS system still works because I haven't driven an RX-7 where I am certain it works. I guess it feels like it's working.

 

FC3sBoosted... thats funny cause i dont think any of my rx7s rear wiper works , except accasionally when im driving it'll just go off once or twice when it feels the need to do so haha. But with mine ps(gone) pw,pd,pm,turbo,ac. My gxl had pretty much the same minus the turbo.

 

My 87 GXL had everything minus the A/C and alarm. I was there the day my dad bought it off the showroom floor in England!

 

Mine has everything a j-spec 1990 came with.
everything still works except - the cig lighter.

 

Everything a TII had, except the guy ordered it without power steering. Go figure.

How was my FC from the factory?

New, I assume.

Came with the full S5 NA package- all of which worked perfectly when I bought it last year.
Since then, I've deleted the PS, AC and stereo and converted the auto belts to manual ( the mousetracks worked fine, I just didn't like how they fit).
Front calipers were swapped to four pistons.

Engine is original (@176K) and -judging by the marginal compression (85PSI)- probably hasn't been rebuilt.
Still starts and runs fine, doesn't smoke or burn coolant and gas mileage is right at factory estimates.

She's my DD.

 

I have nothing on that list but powersteering.

 

My'88 GXL had everything it should have!!
and now the only thing that doesn't work is the rear wiper, the DTSS?? and the AAS as i changed to lowering springs/shocks.

Then: Everything but the lighted keyhole, security, turbo and six speaker system.

Now: Everything works except for the lighted keyhole, security system, Turbo and those two extra speakers...

 

Most 87 and 88 turbos didn't come with power steering. It was an option.

 

Someones forgetting that their ***, cruise control, int. and high wiper speeds, dome light, and horn aren't working either


As for myself, 87.5 SE. As of now, everything works except the wiper deal. I've got the belts off the p/s (slight leak) and a/c (bad tensioner bearing). But I've got one new tensioner, now I just need the other. And one day I'll get the wiper swith rebuilt...

LOL. for real, i've had mine do that from time to time but its been a couple months since it last kicked on. other than that i forgot to mention the stock stereo/cassette with the stock dolby equalizer (all still working).

 

Mine originally came with A/C, which at some point one of the dozen or so genius previous owners decided to get rid of with bolt cutters.

It now has a working S4 A/C system...

Although now I need a new stereo system, since the Sony headunit it came with no longer has a working eject button (lots of fun...good thing it 4-5 hours worth of MP3s on the disc that's in there), among other things that don't work (every button but the ones on the remote).

Someone also cut a whole in the body and took out the windshield washer bottle for half-assed CIE (with no piping or heat-shielding, that is).

If they did anything right, it was putting some 91 coupe rims on it, and getting DTTS eliminators.

 

i have an 87 sport, ps, a/c fried compressor i have new one just sitting here, came with the 15" rims 4pot brakes, stiff suspension, needs rear replaced, sunroof, rear bins upgraded to 2+2, radio doesn't work, came with cassette deck
DTTS dunno if that works, sure it doesn't when i turn left it feels like the rear tires are going to snap off and roll under car... and causes allot of rear end sway on bumps other than the many many other random problems everything seems okay

and Valkyrie, if you really want that CD out at some point, most players will spit the CD out when you disconnect the power source and wait a little while then hook it back up...

 

My car was an '87 base model 4-lug with no options except a/c and power steering. The previous owner swapped in a manual rack, and the a/c compressor is removed because it was seized.
As for owner "molestations," there are a lot (but all good.) It has a full 5-lug swap with an s4 LSD, 16" '87 Turbo wheels, power s4 aero mirrors, and an aluminum turbo hood, which I am too lazy/cheap to swap back to an NA hood.

 

Mine had PS, AC, sunroof.

That's it.

Now it doesn't have AC/PS but does have better suspension and 5-lug. LSD even .

 

LMAO, oh yeah...maybe because I don't use any of that stuff I don't notice it. But you're right... A.A.S.* computer is fried. Wiper relay is toast and the dome light has too much corrosion.

Who needs a horn when you've got two middle fingers?

 

Goober... and I forgot, my hatch light doesn't work either... or the rear defroster

87 GXL. ps, a/c, a.a.s, and all the other stuf that came on a gxl. EVERYTHING still works except for the pass. window switch and a/c. but who needs a/c when you have two windows and a sunroof?

 

LOL, started life as an 88 gxl, all power and active suspension control, sunroof, yada yada yada. Now, it has no power options, save for windows, not even pop up headlights anymore. Oh wait, it doesn't even have a rotary engine anymore!
