How in the world do you drop the Sub-frame to do a 5 lug conversion?

that mount just to the right of the differential housing is where that bar attaches...
Thanks for the pic. It looks like there are 2 bolts near the half-shafts that i didn't see.

To remove the rear knuckle, just unbolt the shock 17mm, then all the other stuff thats linked to it.. then unbolt the halfshaft with a breaker bar, make sure u pop open the lock tab on the nut first.. then justswap it over... The diff is a pain to do tho..
Well except that i want the diff as well. The parts car was a GXL and has an LSD (even though it is bad, i can rebuild it later). So the easiest way to swap all that over would be to drop the whole sub-frame.

Ok, so i am giving it another try today and finally knocked it lose from the body. But now it is hung up a few inches down.

I am thinking it is that bar that was mentioned earlier but i can't find where this bar is or how to get to it?

Like said above, you don't need to drop the subframe 100% to swap diffs, you just need it lowered a bit. I don't drop it cause it makes it a bitch to get back into place. I always leave the sub flush with the bottom of the forward studs, thats the lowest I ever need to go. Did you disconnect the sway bar end links?

Yeah, the reason i am dropping it is because i want the LSD AND the 5 lug brakes and such.

Thus it is easier to just swap sub frames.

I did finally figure out the problem. I found that bar and took it off but it still would not come down.

After a little bit i got a bigger hammer and it popped right off. Turns out it was just jammed on the studs.

So now to just drop the second frame and swap them.
