how tight?

Uhhh? I need to know how much to tighten the banjo bolt that I am using to replace my pulsation damper. If any body knows the number of foot pounds or what ever they are I would appreciate it.

P.S. The reason I am asking this is because I over did it on the first one I ordered and I don,t want another $25 screw up on my part. Thanx guys.

I looked in the Haynes, and the FSM and it doesn't say. Call Mazda or someone who builds rotary engines like Pineapple or Atkins rotary. I didn't use a torque wrench on the last one I did. Just tighten it down so its snug, but don't go ape **** on it. I tighten them down and they don't leak and don't loosen up. Just gotta feel it.

Boeings FSM for the CH-47 Chinook's oil fittings says "tighten untill leak stops." Worked like a charm everytime! And everything but the pneumatic flight controls ran off that oil system at 3000psi. I think your 45psi fuel system will be just fine. Get it snug and check it for leaks.

Over tighten and you'll crush the crush washer beyond It's capabilities resulting In a leak. As mentioned before, tighten 'til It feels right. Nothing to It.
