put the pully in a vise and then try to turn the nut...

leave the belt on the pully, put the tranny in 3rd...turn the nut...

go to a shop near you nd ask them to hit it with the impact...

Put the belt back on, tighten it up. Now the pulley will resist spinnig. Crack it loose, then take off the belt. Now you can take the pulley completely off.

Not really. Why do you want to take it off? Got a dual pulley? Most shops would be happy to do it for ya, most of em shouldnt charge ya.

On a second note, you might TRY a belt wrench, but I doubt it will hold.

oh lord...I can't believe you listen to anything flubyu says...lmao!!!

Yes...you prolly just blew one of your main fuses. Look at your fuse thing and check them all out...if the alt was still mounted why didn't you tighten the belt up really good and break the nut loose?

LMAO!!!! HAHAHA...j/k...dude..get yourself a lil tech book.

The main fuse is bolted in. You have to pull the fuse block to be able to pull the main fuse. After you unbolt it and take the 3 (?) wire harness clips off the bottom you'll see to panels on the sides in the vacinity of the main fuse. Open those panels to see the nuts.

this is funny...oh god...I only stopped short of breaking out the actelyne torch when I went to pull my first one...the lil biotch!... :P

The main fuse has a 10mm bolt on each side of the fuse box. Pop the side covers open with a flat head

And you can generally run to a junkyard and grab an 80amp fuse. They dont even charge me for fuses here.

not at this hour though...hey we all gotta learn some time...i tried pulling it out with a pair of plyers and when the metal on the plyers connected with the 2 fuse pieces the alarm started to go off, so it got the power back like that...

this reminds me of when i first got the car... the fuse wasnt even in there, it was just soldered together...

nobody is open this time of night huh? ****... where else besides a junk yard can i pick up a fuse? and does it have to be 80?

No I did the samething as you, after it bent a few fins I thought it broke the alt. So I took an impact to it and then got it tested. Still charges perfectly upto 80 amps.

Use a 1/2" breaker bar for the bolt on the alt. and a gear puller. Usually you can rent them from a tool rental place or check them out from an auto parts store. If you have to, use wd40 or PB blaster. U might want to unplug the alt. from the car or unhook the battery. Then you should be able to use the screw driver again, dont bend the fins to much.

yeah i just took it to pep boys and they did it for free, so i tipped the guy 5 bucks... they were koo about it, only bad thing was that i had to take out the alt completely cause they arent allowed to loan out tools... only thing that im kinda worried about is the voltage is lower now at idle... but right when you touch the gas it goes back up to 14.... so i dunno

and what REALLY sucks, is that it doesnt backfire what-so-ever now!!?? wtf... i thought i read on here somewhere with the airpump gone it does it even more... ah well, i still have yet to really push the car, but i still almost went to redline and got nothing...

Any time you do ANY work on your car, disconnect the negative battery cable. Even if its not electrical, things can still happen.
