How to stop the wheelhop!

I'm having a pretty bad problem with wheel hop. When I get a bad launch abd launch too hard, rather than spinning the tires... I just hop all the way through first. When I shift from 1st to 2nd, and again from 2nd to 3rd.. I get wheel hop again. I'm no pro on suspension so I can use some help on this. I've got Tokiko Springs and HP Struts all around.. Is it that my suspension is too stiff or not stiff enough? It handles amazingly.. Just launches and shifts real hard. Thanks in advance.

how old are the shocks? that's the number one cause is shocks too weak for the springs. other thing is alignment.

What RPM are you trying to launch from?&nbsp You might be giving it too much revs...

I have wheel hop at low rpm. I never rev and dump the clutch. Its not as bad when the car is warmed up. Feathering the clutch and giving it slightly more revs and it doesn't happen. Had new tires and alignment about a month ago. Didn't help. New shocks and springs go in this Tuesday. From what I can see this should make it go away. If not I am back to square one.

I have heard that the engine torque braces will help this, but i dunno if there is much truth to that.

start with simple things new tires ( some good grippy ones ), balanced and aligned. IF that doesn't cure the problem then time for some shocks and springs.

I've got descent tires. Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712s. And my springs and struts are around 3-4 years old. My car has 70k original miles on it. I wouldnt think the suspention would be worn out quite yet... Am I wrong? Also note.. It seems to be worse when its cold and/or humid. When it was 55 degrees and dry, it nearly went away.. Rather than getting wheel hop when I shifted, I got a good screech. Though I never tried launching it that night but I'm sure it would have hopped. The spings I have also lower the car by about .75 inches too... would that have anything to do with it? Thanks again..

When I get a perfect launch, I'm not looking at the tach. I do it by feel and sound. I get a little ERRRP! from the tires and off I go with no bogging, no spinning and no wheelhop. But usually when I get wheelhop its when I launch around or over 5k. But I also hop when I shift into 2nd and 3rd....
