how to remove window reg and motor

ok I'm an idiot i have searched for awhile the haynes manual is dumb both of the switches driver and pass are missing and the windows are up the motors wont turn they both have power so i bought new ones how in the hell do i get them out i have removed the panel and all the screws the window wont slide and i dont want to mess it up worse what in the hell

If the motors are still good, then you can take wires tied to the battery terminals and stick them in the plug that connects to the motor. Thats what I did in a similar situation. If not, then I have no idea.

Hmmm, see if you can manage to remove them while the regulator is still attached and move the window down manually. Or you could try removing the window in its current position and unbolting the regulator assembly and maybe getting it out that way.

i have the regulator unbolted but it wont move anywhere what the heck

Use a 10mm spanner to remove the window (or a phillips if it is in a easy to get to position.) After that is removed you show be able to unbolt and remove the regulator motor assembly.

I just recently replaced the regulator in my dad's BMW. I still have the link for the guide I used. Obviously it wont be exact but it should give you an idea of what you need to take apart.

When I did it the window wasn't moving via the switch but I was able to get it to move down about an inch or so with some effort pushing it down by hand. Just be careful getting the glass out.
