Unhappy How to remove greening from convertible carpet

Bought a vert with huge amounts of holes in the top.

Is there any way to clean the carpet behind the seats of green moldy stuff?

You'd be amazed at what one of those good steam cleaning vacuum things can do to that stuff.

How would you go about removing the passenger seat? Is it easy? So I can clean thoroughly

Should only be 4 bolts, often hidden by little carpet "flaps" and then whatever relevant wiring is ran in the seat (if it has the headrest speakers). May also need to remove the seatbelt, which should only be 1. With that much rain, the bolts may be a bit rust. I'd look for a 5 point socket that fits SNUG and try some PB Blaster or equivalent.

Use the methods mentioned above to clean. Krud Kutter, CLR, Simple Green came to mind.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

There are just the four bolts to remove the seat. I believe in the range of14mm, 15mm, or 17mm. You may need to spray them from under the car as they have been exposed to the elements and may be rusted. There may be a channel blocking direct access to them but hopefully you can spray from some directionor another.

Correction - they are all inside the car but may still be rusted if wet at some point.

14mm headed bolts on the brackets.
the front passenger is under a flap in the carpet,so it is usually the cleanest one of the bunch.
When I got my last/only Vert,I used a cheap degreaser and that crap came off.You should have seen the car when I got it.It was a 'swamp'...like Kermit crap all over the place, mouse pee and mildew.
