BAC coolent route question

I removed my BAC but will be putting it back on now. Does the BAC utilize the coolant feed somehow? I sealed up the coolant nipple near the rear iron otherwise i would just run it back.

Put it back if you can. However, you're in typically warm environment so it will work without the coolant passing "through" it.

I was under the assumption that the coolant flow was for "de-icing" of the valve, not really affecting its function...unless it's really friggin cold.

I've run my car consistently in weather of -25 to -50* without that line and never once had an issue. The transmission on the other hand, that certainly could've used some de-icing and a heating element!

Just curious, how does the cold adversely effect the transmission?

The oil thickens considerably, making it difficult to shift. Weather extremes are where synthetic oils really come into their own.
