how to remove the dash ?

how to remove the dash ?

i just picked up a somewhat complete interior and was wondering about how to get around to taking the old one out ? i took the trim from the center console out ( where the air controls are, i took the arm rest out, took out all the trim on the dash and on the bottom.... now what ? and also how do i remove the steering wheel part that says mazda ? i pulled but dont want to break anything

ok so now how do i disconnect the speedo ? it doesnt pull far enough out to disconnect it

Squeeze your arm behind the cluster, and theres a small clip that holds the cable to the back of the speedo. Mess with the tab on that clip and pull the clip back down the cable, and it will pull right out.

Disconnect the cable at the transmission and you'll have enough slack to undo it at the cluster.

Also helps to push the speedo cable into the firewall more from the engine bay...

That center part of the steering wheel is screwed on from the backside.

the s4 has the logo that you can pop out with a flat screwdriver.
the s5 steering wheel has 3 phillips screws that hold the Cushiony pad on to the Steering wheel.Undo those 3 screws and you can pop it off to access the 21mm nut that holds the Steering wheel on.
If you take the Column surround off.,you will make things a little easier to get the dash out.
I prefer to Slide the seats all the way back.That makes room to grab the Center part out and up.Taking the seats right OUT is also good for the extra wiggle room.

damn it i messed up my steering wheel lol , i think its a s5 steering wheel since it has the mazda logo pressed into the leather or w.e and i tried pulling it earlier before i noticed the screws
