The FSM shows you how you to access it by removing the panel in front of the windscreen but I've heard it's easier to reach by removing the instrument cluster and reaching through.

I have posted quite a few times the ways to remove it... you may wish to use the search function found in the upper right hand corner.

It truly is sad how fast people banish others to the 'Search' button here.

I myself can never get the damn thing to work, probably because my internet is stupid.

4 hours after he posted is hardly fast, and if you have typed out how to remove the logicon as many times as I have from the past you might be reluctant to do it again as well.

i took mine off and put a new one in today. hands all scuffed up :P
i have average hands and i had to take off my speedo assembly and also various heater piping from below the steering wheel. from then on it was trying to thread a needle. my suggestions are to remove any possible ducting you can from underneath the steering wheel. the wire behind the ac control unit runs to the upper left hand corner slightly.
use a light from underneath and you will see it. basically plan on spending at least half an hour and removing 12 phillips screws.

Sorry to sound negative there, but all I'm saying is maybe provide a link for people who literally cannot use the search function. Or, if this whatchamacallit is really that common, sticky one of the posts

Not trying to push any buttons here, but I get a bit downed when peopele just tell ME to search (not the case here, but, hey) and I can't.

The old proverb comes to mind:

You can give a person a fish and feed them for a day, or you can teach a person to fish and they can feed themselves and family for a lifetime.

why can you not search??? are you using a strange browser, or you just don't understand how to do it?

You do understand that using the advanced search is very very easy??? https://www.rx7club.com/search.php

I always liked "Light a man a fire, and he will be warm for the night. Light a man ON fire, and he will be warm the rest of his life!"

But seriously, if you like your hands, don't try to fish it out through the inst. cluster. Just take off the vent facia in front of the windshield. the plug's right underneath.

I've removed mine by removing the instument cluster. The plastic dash vents are fragile and break very easy and also try to find a red center dash trim piece because Mazda and Mazda Trix don't carry red anymore.

i did this yesterday putting my logicon back in and it was very simple to do it by taking the dash by the windsheild out. you just slide a flat head driver under it all the way over by the driverside door piller(its the only place you can get the right angle) and pop the corner out, then as you slide the screwdriver across the dash along with a little upward pressure the snaps pop out easily. when pulling the hole piece out, dont try to lift it up or it just gets wedged inbetween the door pillars. insteadtry to just slide it out one side at a timekeeping the end corners as low as possible. DO NOT try to pull it with the defrost vents! they will break with very slight pressure.once you have the hole piece out, the plug is sitting right in the center slightly to the left and is easily reachable. when putting the logicon back in, i suggest you push the harness into the dash and let the logicon set in its place in the dash. then lay down with your back on the floor under the steering wheel and you will beable to see the wire coming off the logicon. if you have a light above the dash you can also see the harness it needs to plug into. just fish it up to a point you will beable to grab it from above then get back up and plug it in. I have done it both ways and in my opinion this is much easier and ten times faster. sorry for the length, just try to keep others from breaking all their dash plastic like i did...
