How is my intake setup?

I misplaced my stock intake hose so I had to use one off a RB25DET.....yes a skyline. I have a couple RB25's sitting in my garage. Ne ways....how does the setup look? AFM sitting at a good angle? Any suggestions?

nothing wrong with it in my oppinion. Looks kinda like the stock one. I like my custom intake made out of aluminum alot better though because for some reason I like the idea of a smooth inlet ducked instead of one like that. It seems like it would just be more efficient or something.

Yeah I'd prefer a nice aluminum pipe but dont have any....and budget is limited. I have a HKS elbow pipe laying around but it comes out at a 90 degree angle and won't work with the oversized AFM.

don't know quite what you mean but you do need the afm. Also to fc_drifter you can make a cold air intake for your car for just under 30 bucks and a little more if you don't have the hole saw. Very easy to do and keeps intake temps down as well. The intake setup I used was for a 92-96 prelude that I got off ebay for 9.99 plus shipping. the kit came with everything including a filter if you want to use it. I then got a hacksaw and a hole saw and began hacking it up to where it would fit my fc. Here are some pics.

The air intake restrictions of the stock setup have been fixed. You now have a much more free flowing air intake, but you're intaking hot engine air. You need to isolate the intake filter from the engine compartment and give it a cold air source. Engines and horsepower thrive on colder denser air coming in to them.

i remember someone had posted using a 92-95 Civic air intake for their 13BT. he said he had done minor modifications to it which i'm guessing are the nipples and cut a few inches off the pipe.
