when i start her up she smokes, but it smells dead like exaust.
it started doing it when it got cold.
it'll kick up a nice cloud if i rev it up
seems to smoke most as soon as i let off the gas
been through coolant leaks with a diff engine, and know how fuel and oil smells
its just exaust, but the cloud is BIG like not car sive but big non the less

what do you think, never owned a car in the winter is this normal?
my first car but i dont know.

ideas?

You know I was wondering about this as well (on my own car, S4 GXL). I've been thinking to take a video of it for people to see.

i've been getting white clouds for about 10 seconds a few times this winter, but its normal to me because it gets chilly sometimes in the morning.

its really cold here in KC right now. so mine smokes alot. there's a difference between smoke from the car, and smoke because your exhaust is warm and its cold outside (like your breath). when mines cold i'll get a nice blue smoke trail if i rev it past 4k. but after its warm it goes away

i think its normal .. i hate cold cuz that means my car is going to smoke(its fuel smoke) when i start it.. i can watch my fuel ratios go no higher than 11.5-12 when its cold the ecu makes the car run dumb rich until its warm.... its normal.. just wait for it to warm up.. unless youhave a fan thats always on witha koyo rad.........doh
