That car looks nice, but in my opinion not worth anywhere near the asking price.
Do a few things: First, find out who put in the new engine and where the engine came from. This a HUGE thing since most people have no idea how to rebuild a rotary.
Secondly, get the VIN number and do a carfax check. It can tell you a lot.
Third, if you really want to get the car, take it to a Mazda dealer and get them to check it out. Get them to check the compression.
There is one thing that scares me though: ONE OF THE PICTURES HAS WIRES HELD TOGETHER WITH DUCT TAPE. Now while I may personally use duct tape and electrical tape on personal stuff, this is a big no-no for professional workmanship.
I am also worried that the car had to have the engine rebuilt after so few miles. They'll usually last about 100,000, so it could be an indication of abuse or neglect.
That being said, the car looks sweet, but not $5000 sweet.

That is a very clean S5 TurboII if the compression checks out and car runs and idles smooth. Since the car looks stock, chances are it hasn't seen high boost which is a good thing. Give it a nice cleaning and I think I would pay 5k for it. And with only 99k on the chassey thats pretty low.
Try to talk him down too 4500. But if you have the money I think it would be a nice buy, not too many S5 turboII around.
