Well, I've had my FC for a while, and I'm starting to think that it actually has 178k on the original transmission. It would grind when I shifted from second to third quickly (only at redline), and when I downshift from 4th I sometimes get a grind. Also, VERY OCCASIONALLY I have to sorta double clutch when putting the car in first. My tranny isn't unuseable, but I can tell that it's on its way out.

So I was just asking, to people who have had it done before, or even those who just know about it: how much would it cost to rebuild my transmission?

 

I just got mine rebuilt and it cost me about 900 bucks. Didn't have to much damage to mine and most of that money is labor. I guess it could run you any were from 400 to 1200 dollars. Thats just a good guess though.

 

Sweet. That's a lot less than I thought it would be.

 

i had mine rebuilt with hardened gears and what not for 1200 about a month ago.
