from a "respectable" rotary shop, they usually run about $1800 for the rebuild. extra if anything is damaged like a rotor housing. labor is more. i believe that a mazda reman is bout $1800 also
of course you'll spend money even if you rebuild it yourself. i spent bout $1300 on all needed parts to fix my motor- which included replacing everything and a new rotor housing and rotor
