Repair & Restoration of 88' RX7

I'm looking for chats or websites that offer me information on how to repair my 88' RX7. If anyone has any tips for me I would appreciate it. One of the main problems is that the battery gets drained every time the cables are left on. I've bought new batteries and thought several times the problem was fixed but it continues to be a problem.

Well ok, buying the car is a start. 7s are fairly rare so pat yourself for getting one. Anyway I bought up the hanes and factory repair manuels before I even had the car so I studied them pretty hard. Anyway, there are a lot of sites. Go to say Google and type "rx-7" or "rx-7 help" or "mazda rx-7" stuff comes up and just book mark EVERYTHING!!!! It is all important; I find myself comming back to sites that I have thought otherwise useless. About your car replace bat cables, spark wires and spark plugs. Keep the 7 running and always be nice to them. Let it warm up than redline that stupid ****! Put it in the kitchen where it belongs! ok no more talking

Gefunk,

Sounds like you might have a short somewhere Your local rotary speciality shop should be able to track that sucker down.

Be sure to check the wiring harness for rubbing or crummy connections. I'd also peak under the car and check the harness down there.

Hayes & the official mazda repair manual are what I have.
