I paid 2 grand for a 87 N/A with 91k miles, borbet rims, upgraded suspension, pioneer system, and great interior and exterior. It was a weekend car and wan't ever driven during the winter... Four days after I got it I was rear-ended by a Jeep with a brush guard on the front.... It is totaled... The damage doesn't look too bad but the rear hatch part was crumpled and needs to be replaced. I will prolly end up getting a new bumper and taillights, painting it and having the body shop smooth out the rumples as best as possible... Sigh...

I spent $2600 for my 86 about five years ago, but I just put $3000 into it, so. . . . Maybe we should have a poll that says " How much have you PAID?"

i paid 4000 CY pounds for my NA with a rebuild, an extra TII engine and an extra set of 17 inch wheels. Thats roughly 7000 dollars US. Its not cheep by some standards but well cheap out her. Then i paid 900 USDollars for a somplete front half TII complete with gearbox and engine. Only prob was the guy that imported it for me disconnected the ECU and forgot where he put it. He shipped me one from Japan but it turned out to be for a 97 3rd Gen. Now i need to get rid of that.! so i had to pay another grand for a Haltech. But it off someone on this forum. Now i need the rebuild done, porting, and install. God willing it;ll be ready by fall!!

Hey guys, check this out. I paid $500.00 for mine. It is a 1989 with 62,000 original miles. I purchased it from the original owner, an elderly couple. They told me the engine was shot. The body and interior were immaculate. I thought that I would get it and put a new engine in it. It sat in my driveway for 4 months. One day I was bored so I went outside to look at the engine. I had not tried to start the car. I was curious, so I pulled the plugs, put in new ones and guess what happened - it started. I took the car and had it tuned up and it runs very strong. What a deal! I am still in shock.

Bought my first RX-7 for $300. IT was a 1981 GXL that despite its shitty condition was fast! Then got a 1989 GXL that was in immaculate condition for $1000. Then I bought a 1987 TII for $100 for parts.

87' 97K on the body $2500 with dealer installed engine 9K miles ago. $338 to rebuild the turbo. And a set of spark plugs. Total less than $3K. And the car looks like it has a 1/4 of that mileage.

I bought mine for $1000 with a j-spec engine uninstalled. So far I’ve put in another $1500 to try and get her running, so far unsuccessful. It would have been up and running a long time ago if the guy who I bought the car and engine from didn't decide to dismantle the parts off the engine and decide to throw them away. It sucks hunting for miscellaneous parts, including expensive. I didn’t believe it would be such a money pit.

i got mine for 1 grand, no engine and no gearbox, needs a paint too. Im from new zealand tho, so good price for it here really. As they sell for 6 to 7 grand for a standard 13b turbo s4. Cost me less to put a engine in myself.

too much... 5g's. right off of break-in period for rebuild street port engine. majestics turbo rebuild with hybrid compressor wheel. lightened flywheel. 6-puck clutch. geforce ecu. removed air pump. turbo xs boost controller (manual 2 stage). fuel pump switch on steering column (nifty... very). fd fuel pump.

body wasn't the greatest thing. but it also came with a kit. eh, maybe i'll use it

my n/a cost 1000, when i bought it, it had some pretty severe body damage. The guy I bought it from (a friend of mine) was drunk and spun out in the rain...hit a light pole and really screwed up the back end. car had 103,000 on it. engine went 4000 miles later though.

EVERYTHING down to the factory pioneer cd player was original.
