How much did it cost for your rebuild

I'm wondering how much it cost to have an engine builder rebuild your engine and not you doing it yourself. Please post how much it was after all was said and done and the engine was back in your possession. I'm looking for just a stock for stock rebuild, no porting or special parts or anything.

I'm just trying to determine what a reasonable price is for a quality rebuild from a reputable builder. Thanks

anywhere between 1000-2000 for a stock rebuild , thats parts , cleaning, and labor

it varys from shop to shop, also if you buy your rebuild kit in advance and drop the keg off for them it will be cheaper in your end

it all depends on what needs to get done and if you arent touching a wrench that also brings the price up a bit

of course thats a ball park figuere not my engine -i built mines

why dont you just contact one of the known ROTARY engine builders in your area?
If there aren't any, you can contact national guys with good reputation like Kevin Landers or Karack.

I think I spent $1000 on seals and gaskets alone, if you want to slap it back together with "good enough" parts thats one thing, but if you want as close to a new engine as you can get and one that will give trouble free miles then you will be spending closer to $2500+ for rebuild with parts from a reputable shop.

Mazda's prices went up in August, I think I paid about 15-20% more for the same stuff I got last year.

I just think you need to be realistic and have a good budget set aside.

for a turbo motor it's going to be more expensive. Parts are less available and you can't easily get away higher mileage stuff.
