How much damage done?

I know nobody can really say for sure....but here's what happened. I started hearing a screeching sort of noise about a week ago. I thought it was my power steering belt that the pulley got bent. But I just found out today that it was actually the noise of the rotors in the housings.....my oil metering pump rod was disconnected and I know for sure that some damage has been done. I've propably driven around 150 km like this. How much damage have I done to my engine???

How hard did you drive it?

Do a compression test. About the best you can do with keeping the engine in the car.

No....It was just hooked up by a piece of paperclip.....I ended up using a bobby pin to hook it up temporarily but I found it off today....I'm a little worried about the damage done...I'll do a compression test when I get a chance but I'm scared of the results...

Probably some wear was done considering that you hear that noise. If compression checks out okay... You should run some Pre-mix two cycle oil in your next couple of gas fill-ups along with reconnecting the oil pump...That can help re-coat the seals with oil a bit faster if they are not toast.

So I compression tested 118 PSI....2 PSI lower than when I bought the car a couple months ago....Nooot bad. I only had time to check the rear rotor..I'll check the front when I get a chance. Where can I get myself some pre-mix oil? I thought running premix was mixing in regular oil but I've never looked into it further...

You can buy Premix 2 stroke oil at any autopart store, just make sure it is TCw3 approved so it doesnt separate from the gas. You mix it with your gasoline everytime you fill up.

This should help you with what ratio to mix....
